We offer free London delivery on all our product range excluding door furniture. For deliveries outside of London, including export, you will need to engage the services of a shipping/courier company. Charles Edwards® (Antiques) Ltd can assist in this process if required. As part of this service, the shipper will professionally pack goods and arrange delivery with you directly.
Charles Edwards® (Antiques) Ltd does not accept liability for any damages incurred once the goods have been checked, signed for and removed from our premises.
You may wish to insure your fixtures against damages with your shipping company/courier service. In the event that damages occur, your contract for the transportation of your order is with the shipper/courier and not with Charles Edwards® (Antiques) Ltd. You must contact them directly to effect any replacements or repairs.
Free London Deliveries
Our designated courier carries out deliveries between:
10am – 5pm, on Wednesdays
Customers are contacted on the morning of delivery to confirm delivery details, time slot and that someone will be present to check and sign for the order.
The map below gives details of the area covered by our courier service. Customers outside of this area must engage their own shipping/courier service to transport their order.
Charles Edwards® (Antiques) Ltd accepts liability for any damages incurred whilst orders are in the possession of our designated courier service. Upon delivery, you will be required to sign confirming that the items have been received in good condition. Once signed for, all liability will pass to the customer. Charles Edwards® (Antiques) Ltd will not accept liability for any damages incurred after this time.
TRACKING AN ORDER
Free London Deliveries – You will be contacted on the day of delivery.
If you have not received your delivery at the specified time, please contact your Account Manager.
UK/Rest of World – You will be able to track the delivery directly with your shipping/courier company.
Our products are bubble wrapped and packed in cardboard boxes.
If you have special packing requirements, we will try to accommodate them.
Goods will be packed adequately for collection by your chosen shipping company, but will need to be repacked for export abroad. If you do not already have a shipping company, we can facilitate this for you by obtaining a quotation from a preferred shipping company and making all necessary arrangements on your behalf. Alternatively, we can provide details of recommended shipping companies for you to approach directly.
COLLECTIONS FOR EXPORT
For deliveries abroad you will need to engage the services of a shipping company. Goods will be packed adequately for collection by your chosen shipping company but will need to be repacked for export at their depot. If you do not already have a shipping company in mind, we will be able to provide contact details for companies that can perform this service for you. All goods must be checked and prior to collection. Please note that once goods have left Charles Edwards® (Antiques) Ltd. We cannot be held responsible for any damage to goods occurring thereafter. Please ensure that you present your collection note at the time of collection, or instruct the shippers to do so if they are collecting on your behalf. Without the collection note and sale order number, we will not be able to release the goods.
