Un-lacquered polished brass is a smooth reflective finish. The finish will dull over time to a soft gold-brown tone.
Exposure to moisture without polishing the finish will eventually lead to a Verdigris patina. Small solder joins may be visible on some lanterns, these grey with age.

For bathrooms we offer a stove lacquer; a clear protective coating baked on top of the finish.
For exterior use we recommend using the finish un-lacquered and maintaining with polishing as needed. Stove lacquer is not recommended for brass for exterior use.
Un-lacquered: To maintain a bright finish we recommend polishing with ‘Brasso’ and a pure cotton cloth.
Stove Lacquered: Wipe clean with a damp pure cotton cloth and dab dry with a pure cotton cloth. Use no abrasive cleaners.

Hand applied in our London workshop, subtle variations in tone are an inherent characteristic of our finishes, ensuring each piece is as unique as the interior scheme it is destined for.
